La Toya M.
Jackson-Wilson — the Principal & Creative Director of
Panache Interiors & Events LLC, has been creating interiors
since 2000. After using her home and others as a creative
launching pad, La Toya was encouraged to strike out on her
own and pursue her passion of interior design and her goal
of becoming an interior designer. Armed with a keen eye for
design and playfully nicknamed “The Polisher” in design
school for her ability to pull a project together through
the use of color and finishes; La Toya specializes in
creating stunning interiors, while simultaneously keeping
client costs low, by combining items from big box stores
with family heirlooms, antiques, and infusing a few high-end
designer splurges here and there to interiors. When it comes
to color selection for your home, La Toya believes that your
closet should guide your color decisions. The colors that
you wear will always be the colors that you want to live
with. No matter if you are living in an apartment or in a
house, your home should be styled to reflect you!
Individuality is always the best interior design solution.
An interior designer by
education and practice, La Toya has also always been
attracted to beautiful paper and stationery. She believes
that all couples should be able to have custom designed
paperie for their wedding or any special life event that
does not stretch the limits of their budget. This rang
especially true when she began the search for her own
wedding stationery and just could not seem to find the one
that represented HER. She was looking for something unique,
not cookie cutter, and determined that the only way to get
what she wanted was to create it herself. So she dropped
the sample books and started researching papers and font
types. Almost two years later and she hasn't looked back.
Although her wedding has come and gone, she still loves a
well designed invitation and enjoys creating beautiful
stationery and paperie suites using quality papers and
supplies that truly represents her clients.
La Toya holds a BS in
Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University,
and an MBA and MA in Interior Design, both from
Marymount University in Arlington, VA. La Toya is an active
member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) of
which she holds a Bridal Consultant membership and is a
Certified Sandals Specialist (CSS). She is also an Allied
member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID)
and an Associate member of the International Interior Design
Association (IIDA).
